Overview
The Amalfi Coast is best seen from the water, so we build this week around boats. You'll stay in Positano and Ravello, take a private gozzo to Capri, and eat in the kind of family-run trattorias you'd never find alone.
There's a lemon-grove lunch near Amalfi, a half-day cooking class, and a walk on the Path of the Gods with a guide who grew up on the coast.
Trip highlights
- Private gozzo boat day to Capri and the Blue Grotto
- Cooking class in a family home above Amalfi
- Guided Path of the Gods ridge walk
- Lunch in a lemon grove below Ravello

The private gozzo to Capri was worth the money — we avoided the ferry crush entirely and stopped wherever we liked. The cooking class was in an actual family kitchen, not a tourist setup. Ravello was the surprise favourite.
