This policy explains what yatrai does with your information when you use yatrai.in. We have kept it short and specific rather than legalistic. If anything is unclear, email hello@yatrai.in and a human will answer.
Who we are
yatrai is a travel planning business based at 2nd Floor, D152, Vivek Vihar, Delhi – 110095. We act as the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email, phone number, country, trip dates, party size, budget and the notes you write in a brief, enquiry or review. If you attach photos or a video to a review, we store those too.
- Your workspace. When you send a brief we create an account for your email so you can track it. There is no password — you sign in with a single-use link.
- How the site is used. If you accept analytics, we collect page views, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and which buttons or forms you use. We do not record keystrokes, and we never collect payment details on this site.
- Messages. Emails you exchange with us, and WhatsApp messages if you contact us there.
Why we use it
- To plan and quote your trip, and to answer your questions.
- To keep your workspace and its briefs available to you.
- To improve the site — which pages and destinations people actually use.
- To measure advertising, when we run campaigns. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers for their own use.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and, when campaigns are running, ad measurement tags. These are only loaded after you press Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookie is set; the site works exactly the same.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.
Who processes it
- Microsoft Azure hosts the site, database and review media (data centres in India).
- Zoho Mail handles our email, including workspace sign-in links.
- Google provides analytics and tag management, only with your consent.
- WhatsApp / Meta processes messages if you choose to contact us there.
How long we keep it
Trip briefs and enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for planning and for our accounting records. Review media stays until you ask us to remove it. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Sign-in links expire after 48 hours.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@yatrai.in from the address you used and we will action it within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where we have your email, tell you.
