Sikkim is small, green and Buddhist: Gangtok's monasteries and ropeway, the rhododendron forests of Yumthang, the sacred lake at Tsomgo and the best views of Kanchenjunga anywhere. Pelling is the quieter base and Pemayangtse one of the oldest monasteries in the Himalaya.
It is also India's cleanest and most orderly state, which makes the travelling easy. Permits are needed for the northern valleys and we handle them.
