Krabi is the postcard Thailand: the limestone karsts of Railay and Ao Nang, the four-island boat trip, the Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave temple inland, and Koh Lanta a ferry ride south for people who want the same scenery with nobody on it.
Railay is only reachable by longtail boat, which is exactly why it still feels like a discovery. The climbing on the peninsula is world-famous and the diving around Koh Phi Phi is excellent.
